Alarm bells have been set ringing at Manchester United late on Thursday evening.
This comes after a key member of Erik ten Hag’s squad was stretchered out of the club’s Premier League showdown with Chelsea.
The player in question? Antony.
Brazilian international Antony was afforded his latest start tonight, taking his place on the right of United’s frontline at Old Trafford.
After enjoying a lively start to proceedings, however, the former Ajax standout’s evening was soon brought to a premature end.
With a little over 25 minutes on the clock, a heavy but clean challenge on the part of Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah left Antony grounded, and in evident pain.
Antony, from here, was loaded onto a stretcher, before being carried from the field of play looking altogether forlorn.

The 23-year-old, a crucial member of Erik ten Hag’s attacking ranks at Old Trafford, therefore looks an immediate doubt for not only Manchester United’s league finale, but FA Cup final showdown with neighbours Man City, too.
