An insight into the plans of the powers that be at Premier League outfit West Ham United to replace in-demand midfield standout Declan Rice this summer has been provided on Thursday evening.
The subject of Rice’s future, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the media headlines with a view to the summer transfer window.
This comes with the England international, fresh off another fine season in east London, having been earmarked as a leading target by a whole host of clubs.
According to reports, all of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are keen on bringing Rice in ahead of next season.
And though they will demand a hefty sum to do so, the West Ham hierarchy, ultimately, are expected to green light the sale of their talismanic midfielder.
With such a considerable fee set to land at the London Stadium, though, just who could David Moyes and co. target to replace Rice?
The info comes courtesy of Sky Sports, who point towards three players being placed upon the Irons’ summer shortlist.
The trio in question? Fulham standout Joao Palhinha, former Chelsea target Edson Alvarez of Ajax, and Southampton set-piece specialist James Ward-Prowse.
