Tottenham headed into the game looking to bounce back from their 4-1 hammering at the hands of Leicester last week and their recent defeat to AC Milan in the Champions League.
And when all was said and done, Tottenham came out on top and are now temporarily in the top-four.
West Ham began the brighter of the two sides, with Jarrod Bowen firing an effort just wide in the opening minutes.
The Hammers were lucky to escape a handball shout moments later as Thilo Kehrer appeared to handle a Richarlison pass but nothing was given.
NO PENALTY! There were lots of appeals by Tottenham players for a handball in the box, but VAR says no! ❌ pic.twitter.com/cwsInmf17L

Following that penalty shout, there was little in the way of chances for either side in the remainder of the first 45.
Neither manager opted to make changes at the break, which was surprising given the lack of quality on display.
Tottenham get the breakthrough 💪

Heung-min Son then came off the bench to add a second goal for the home outfit 72 minutes in and kill the game off.

We’ve got away with one there. That’s a pen all day 😯#TOTWHU

What is Richarlison? Is he a striker? Winger? Number 10? What?
For £60m he doesn’t really contribute a lot. #TOTWHU

Spurs’ attacking endeavours or lack of summed up somewhat by that move. Skipp plays a ball through to Ben Davies on the left and he hits a ball into the box which only Emerson Royal has run into. The Brazilian has had a busy start to the game.

Dejan Kulusevski lacking in confidence so far. Not quite attacking with the ball as he normally would.

That was a brilliant pass from Hojbjerg in the build up to Tottenham’s goal but Moyes will be fuming about how much space there was
