The latest round of nominees for the Premier League’s Player of the Month award have been unveiled on Thursday.
And stars from no fewer than six clubs have taken their place on the shortlist for September’s prize.
Amongst the frontrunners will no doubt be Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, fresh off starring displays which saw the Belgian rack up assists in both of his appearances across the month.
And too in the running is the Manchester-based Marcus Rashford, in the midst of something of a revival under the watch of Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.
Tottenham Hotspur FC midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg also his his sights set on the accolade, with another enjoying an altogether new lease of life, in the form of Everton’s Alex Iwobi, having been rewarded with a spot on the list of candidates.
Next up comes Aston Villa prodigy Jacob Ramsey, whose goal versus Southampton last time out guided Steven Gerrard’s troops at least temporarily away from danger, with Bournemouth midfielder Philip Billing rounding out the shortlist for the Premier League’s Player of the Month prize.
