A host of transfer updates centering on Premier League heavyweights Manchester United have come to the fore on Thursday evening.

Below, we round up some of the most noteworthy.

The most noteworthy, and by some distance, comes in the form of the latest on United’s long-running pursuit of Inter Milan shot-stopper Andre Onana.

According to Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, a deal between the respective boards at Old Trafford and San Siro has now been struck, with Onana ‘sold’ to the former:

Next up comes a surprise update on the Red Devils’ interest in Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong.

The name of midfielder De Jong of course took its place centre stage in the headlines on the red half of Manchester last summer, as the powers that be at the Theatre of Dreams did their utmost to reunite the Dutchman with incoming boss Erik ten Hag.

According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, though, this did not discourage Man United from making a fresh enquiry this summer, only to see their advances rebuffed by club and player alike.

Turning attentions towards potential outgoings from Old Trafford, one member of Ten Hag’s setup drawing mounting interest comes in the form of Anthony Elanga.

After Nottingham Forest were first tipped to launch an offensive for the Swede, Premier League rivals Everton, it is understood, have too joined the fray.

The Toffees came up short with a January loan swoop for Elanga, but could now tempt United into a sale courtesy of an offer based around permanent terms.

Last up comes another story involving La Liga champions Barcelona.

On this occasion, it is the Catalans who are understood to be on the hunt, having set their sights firmly on the signature of Marc Jurado.

Right-back Jurado, held in altogether high regard in Manchester, is actually a former member of the famed La Masia academy at Barcelona.

And, since swapping Spain for England in the summer of 2020, the 19-year-old has gone from strength to strength.

His increasingly impressive displays at youth level, though, have now piqued the attentions of his former club, who, according to sources in Spain, have begun working on a deal to bring Jurado back to the Camp Nou with a view to next season.
