There have been 29 completed Premier League seasons since its inception in 1992.

During that time we have seen seven separate winners, with Manchester United winning the most with 13.

Chelsea and Manchester City then have five apiece with Arsenal on three and Blackburn, Leicester and Liverpool all on one.

But which English side has won the most Premier League games?

10. West Ham (340)

West Ham were not in the Premier League when it was first introduced but gained promotion to the top-flight in its second season. The Hammers have then remained in the Premier League, barring spells between 2003/05 and 2011/12.

Aston Villa were one of the founding members of the Premier League in 1992 and remained in the division until 2016 when they were relegated and spent three years in the Championship before securing promotion in 2019.

8. Newcastle (392)

Newcastle secured promotion to the Premier League in 1993 and stayed in the league until 2009. They won promotion back to the top-flight the following season before being relegated again for one campaign in 2016.

7. Everton (422)

Everton are the first side on this list to have never been relegated from the Premier League. Their last top-flight relegation came all the way back in 1955. Will that change this season?

6. Manchester City (487)

Unlike Everton, Manchester City have been relegated from the division several times. However, since their takeover in the late 2000s, City have become one of the most dominant forces in the league and currently hold the record for most points won in a single campaign (100).

5. Tottenham (514)

Tottenham are the highest-ranked side on this list not to win a single league title. Spurs have never been relegated but barring the 2015/16 season, they have not come that close to mounting a proper title charge.

4. Liverpool (617)

Liverpool have been a mainstay in the Premier League throughout its existence. However, their dominance has not really translated to titles. Their only PL trophy came in 2020 and they now look some way off mounting another title charge in the near future.

3. Chelsea (626)

Unlike Liverpool, Chelsea’s impressive winning record has translated into trophies. The Blues have five league titles under their belt, which is the joint-second most of any club.

2. Arsenal (635)

Whilst Arsenal are second on this list, they rank 4th for most Premier League trophies. The Gunners have won three so far but are in contention to snag a 4th in 2022/23.

1. Manchester United (716)

Given Manchester United have won 13 league titles, it is not at all surprising to see them rank 1st for most Premier League wins. And as the Red Devils are now rebuilding under Erik ten Hag, it may be some time before we see the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City knock them off their pedestal.
