Arsenal saw off Nottingham Forest in Sunday’s early Premier League kick-off.
The Gunners headed into the game knowing a win would take them back up to top spot in the division.
And Arsenal were able to come away with a comfortable 5-0 win vs Steve Cooper’s side on the day.
Gabriel Martinelli opened the scoring on the day, heading in a Bukayo Saka cross.
Saka then picked up an injury and was forced off 25 minutes in.
With the World Cup less than a month away and Arsenal’s options on the right lacking, Arsenal fans were no doubt very concerned.
“It was a bad kick, I don’t see any further than that (kick),” the Spaniard said. He was kicked a few times and it wasn’t helpful.
The man who replaced Saka vs Forest was Reiss Nelson, who went on to score two and assist one.
On Nelson, Arteta added: “All the staff are so happy for him, he’s really evolving and maturing, and showing everyday how much he wants it.”
