Real Sociedad star Takefusa Kubo has, on Friday, spoken out over claims that he could secure a move back to Real Madrid this summer.
For those not aware, wide-man Kubo sealed a permanent departure from the Santiago Bernabeu last summer.
On the back of a series of productive loan spells in La Liga, the Japanese international was snapped up by the aforementioned Real Sociedad, for a fee in the region of €6.5 million.
And Kubo has since gone on to shine at the Anoeta, notching an impressive haul of nine goals and seven assists across 34 league appearances.

La Real’s deal for the 21-year-old, though, proved a complicated one.
As part of the terms of the agreement, Real Madrid maintained 50% of Kubo’s contractual rights, as well as favourable conditions to bring the gifted attacker back to Spain’s capital.
Speaking to the media on Friday, the subject of a potential Real reunion was therefore put to Kubo himself.
The 21-time capped international, however, was quick to shut down the chances of as much, defiantly responding:
“I’m a Real Sociedad player, Real Madrid door is closed. I wanna be a star in the Champions League and make the name of Real Sociedad special in Europe.”
