The Premier League fixtures for the upcoming 2023-24 season have been released, revealing how each side will kick off their new upcoming campaign. Across four days beginning on Friday August 11th, all 20 sides will be in action over the weekend, though both Liverpool and Luton requested to have their first game away from home due to stadium reconstruction works.

The biggest game of the weekend sees last season’s two disappointments face off as Chelsea play host to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side in a game that has, in recent times, been a close and low scoring affair and will surely be a useful barometer of how each side has improved over the summer.

There is due to be a title showdown immediately too, with Championship winners Burnley playing host to Premier League Champions Manchester City at Turf Moor, a clash that will also see Vincent Kompany up against former boss Pep Guardiola on a Friday night under the lights.

Last season’s runners up Arsenal are back in action against Nottingham Forest, who were the side that confirmed they wouldn’t win the title when they beat the Gunners 1-0 at the City ground six weeks ago.

Meanwhile, promoted sides Luton Town and Sheffield United face tricky clashes away to Brighton and at home to Crystal Palace respectively to kick off their top-flight campaigns.

Newcastle United, bouyed by Champions League football next season, host fellow European hopefuls Aston Villa at St James’ Park while Tottenham travel across London to take on Brentford, from whom they are currently trying to sign goalkeeper David Raya.
