Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur have, on Thursday evening, confirmed the club’s plans for attacker Lucas Moura.
The subject of wide-man Lucas’ future has of course long proven a major talking point on the Lilywhite half of north London.
This comes ahead of the imminent expiration of his current contract.
With the Brazilian having failed to secure a single league start across the entirety of the campaign, the widespread assumption has long been that Lucas would ultimately be allowed to move on, as a free agent.
And, late on Thursday, precisely that has been confirmed.
In an official statement across the club’s website and social media platforms, Spurs a short time ago announced that:
Lucas’ Tottenham career is set to come to a close with 219 appearances, and 38 goals, to his name.
His name, meanwhile, will forever remain in Lilywhites folklore, owing to a memorable hat-trick against Ajax back in 2019, which ultimately guided Spurs to a first-ever Champions League final.
Thank you for the memories, @LucasMoura7 💙
We can confirm that Lucas Moura is to leave the Club at the end of the season following the conclusion of his contract.
