After an unsuccessful spell with Watford at the end of 2021/22, Roy Hodgson retired from the dugout.
However, with Patrick Vieira sacked and Crystal Palace in trouble, Roy Hodgson has come out of retirement for presumably one last job.

5: Claudio Ranieri (70y, 93d)
Claudio Ranieri will go down in infamy for his historic Premier League title win with Leicester City.
But it was at Watford were Ranieri finished his Premier League stint.
The Italian took charge of the Hornets between October 4 2021 and January 24 2022. It was an unsuccessful spell and Watford were relegated at the end of that campaign with the aforementioned Hodgson.
4: Neil Warnock (70y, 162d)
But Warnock’s last game as a top-flight coach came in May 2019 with a shock 2-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford, despite his Cardiff City side already having been relegated to the Championship.
3: Alex Ferguson (71y, 139d)
The most decorated manager on this list by some distance, Sir Alex Ferguson went out on a high.
2012/13 saw Manchester United lift their final Premier League title and it was Sir Alex Ferguson in the dugout whilst they did so. He retired at the end of that campaign and is not expected to return to management.
2: Bobby Robson (71y, 192d)
A highly respected figure by football fans, and especially among the Newcastle fanbase, it was fitting that Robson’s final PL match came whilst in charge of Newcastle United.
Robson was 71 years, 192 days old on his final Premier League game as a manager, with Newcastle’s 0-0 draw at Aston Villa his last.
He sadly died in July 2009 aged 76, less than five years after his last game as a manager.
1: Roy Hodgson (74y, 286d)
As already mentioned, Roy Hodgson retired at the end of 2021/22 after being relegated with Watford. He already held the record for oldest manager in Premier League history at that point.
But with Hodgson back in the Crystal Palace dugout, he will further extend his record as the oldest PL manager when the 75-year-old oversees the Eagles’ clash with Leicester City on April 1.
