The player in question is Anthony Elanga, who joined Nottingham Forest from Manchester United over the summer.

Elanga made 55 appearances for Man United’s senior side but scored just four goals and struggled for a starting berth.

He has hit the ground running at Forest, however, and provided the assist for the winning goal vs Chelsea this past Saturday.

Speaking after that game, Rio Ferdinand has heaped praise on the 21-year-old:

“What happened to Chelsea man? They got smoked by Elanga, one of our players we’ve let go!” said Ferdinand.

“Elanga has looked red-hot by the way, did you see what he did to Mudryk? He done well man, every game he’s impact since he’s been at Forest. He came on against you guys [Arsenal] and set up the goal, then he scored against Chelsea and got the winner. This kid looks electric.
