Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has agreed a sensational move to Al-Ittihad this summer, it has been reported, though Liverpool remain firm on their ‘not for sale’ stance on the Egyptian.
Salah has been on the list of targets for Saudi Arabia’s spending spree all summer, but has so far resisted a move, though teammates Jordan Henderson and Fabinho have both headed to the middle east.
Earlier in the summer, Salah’s agent Remy Abbas shut down departure rumours, taking to Twitter to explain:
“If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer. Mohamed remains committed to LFC.”
Now, however, that appears to have changed. As per Sports Zone, Salah has agreed a 3-year contract with Al-Ittihad, which will see him take home $240M net in total.
Any deal would be worth in excess of £100m, and would allow Salah to reunite with Fabinho, who also joined Al-Ittihad earlier in the transfer window.

Salah has continued the new season where he left off last campaign, with a goal and an assist already to his name as well as seeing another effort chalked off for offside. Still Liverpool’s most potent attacker, Klopp would be loathe to let him leave with just a week of the transfer window left to go and no direct replacement lined up, even if the £100m+ is an offer that they will likely never receive again given the Egypt attacker’s age.
One of Liverpool’s all-time greats, Salah has scored 187 times in 308 games for the Reds, and will be looking to add plenty more this season.
