Premier League giants Liverpool have, on Sunday, been afforded some timely positive news on the personnel front.

This comes in the form of confirmation that a key member of Jurgen Klopp’s squad has been granted an early release from international duty.

The player in question? Mohamed Salah.

Wide-man Salah, as expected, was afforded a call-up by Egypt boss Rui Vitoria for the country’s latest round of fixtures this week.

And the 30-year-old went on to enjoy a typically productive outing on Friday, en route to a brace in a 3-0 win over Niger.

Salah, in turn, was widely predicted to be utilised from the off once more on Tuesday, when Egypt are primed to return to action in a friendly meeting with Liberia.

Instead, the former AS Roma standout is set for an imminent return to base with Liverpool.

Speaking to the media on Sunday evening, Egypt head coach Rui Vitoria announced that he has come to the decision to allow Salah to depart the Pharaohs’ camp with immediate effect.

The prolific wide-man, in turn, will have the best part of a week to rest up and recover, ahead of the Reds’ return to action in a Premier League meeting with Brighton & Hove Albion next Saturday.
