Manchester City head to north London in a mouthwatering top-of-the-table clash with Arsenal on Wednesday night, with the winner taking top spot.

The Cityzens come into the tie three points behind the Gunners, but know that a win would see them leapfrog Mikel Arteta and co. thanks to their superior goal difference. A defeat, however, would leave them six points off top spot, and just two points ahead of Manchester United after 23 games.

City drew first blood when the sides met in the FA Cup fourth round, Nathan Ake handing them a narrow 1-0 win at the Etihad against a much-changed Arsenal side, but that will have little bearing on the Premier League clash.

With it all to play for then, here’s the latest team news coming out of the Manchester City camp, including the latest on star-man Erling Haaland.

Team News

The major concern amid the Manchester City camp surrounds Premier League top goalscorer Erling Haaland, who was substituted at half time during their 3-1 win over Aston Villa with a problem in his right thigh following a challenge with Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.

However, Guardiola was unable to offer a clear indication as to whether or not the Norwegian will be fit for the top-of-the-table clash with Arsenal, explaining in his press conference that “We train this afternoon. Right now I don’t know. Yesterday was about recovery from Aston Villa. That’s all.”

Meanwhile, it is unclear whether or not the Spaniard will persist with Bernardo Silva as a roaming left-back, though it seems likely that he will revert to a more conventional back four against the Premier League leaders, and Ruben Dias is likely to retain his place, with the Manchester City boss confirming that he had only been substituted as a result of his yellow card against Villa.

John Stones remains sidelined with a thigh injury, however, as the only injury concern for the Cityzens.
