Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of appointing a new head coach, it has been revealed.
The man in line to take his place in the dugout in north London? Ange Postecoglou.
The name of Celtic headmaster Postecoglou, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the chatter surrounding ongoings at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over the course of the last week.
This comes after Daniel Levy and co. turned their attentions towards the Australian, after seeing approaches for first-choice targets Julian Nagelsmann and Arne Slot prove fruitless.
Postecoglou, fresh off sealing a domestic treble with Celtic in Scotland, in turn, was identified as the new leading candidate to take up the reins at Spurs, with major developments in the 57-year-old’s move to England’s capital, on Sunday, having been confirmed.
The info comes courtesy of transfer expert David Ornstein of The Athletic, who reports that:
A deal between the two parties is expected to be made official over the ‘coming days’, with Postecoglou, crucially, therefore set to be afforded a full summer to put his personal stamp on the playing squad on the Lilywhite half of north London:
