Arsenal faced off with Brighton at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners headed into the match on the same number of games as Manchester City after the Sky Blues beat Everton 3-0 earlier in the day.

But Arsenal would have played one more game than City after Sunday, meaning Mikel Arteta’s side had to beat Brighton.

However, when all was said and done, Arsenal fell to a 3-0 defeat vs the Seagulls.

In another big blow, Arsenal lost Gabriel Martinelli to injury early in the first half and the Brazilian was seen with a boot on his leg shortly after.

The man who caused the injury was Brighton’s Moises Caicedo. Caicedo has been heavily linked with Arsenal this year and the midfielder – who played right-back vs Arsenal – is seemingly looking to mend fences.

Whilst not official, Martinelli is expected to miss Arsenal’s final two games of the campaign and he may have a few choice words with Caicedo if he does sign for the Gunners.
