Morocco head coach Walid Regragui has, on Friday, provided an update on the wellbeing of Manchester United star Sofyan Amrabat.
For those who may have missed it, midfielder Amrabat set pulses racing across the United fanbase late on Thursday evening.
This came amid confirmation that the latest addition to the club’s engine room ranks had been forced to pull out of international duty.
As per an official statement on the part of the Moroccan Football Association:
“The national team coach, Mr. Walid Regragui, has summoned the player, Yahya Jeeran, to replace the injured Sofyan Amrabat.”
Speaking to the media ahead of his side’s upcoming meeting with Liberia, Regragui was, in turn, inevitably asked for the latest on Amrabat’s fitness levels.
In a boost for all associated with the Red Devils, though, Morocco’s headmaster went on to quell fears of any potentially extended incoming absence for Amrabat.
“Sofyan Amrabat felt something,” he began. “And we let him go as a precaution because he has just started his new adventure with Manchester United.”
