Jude Bellingham has admitted that the Santiago Bernabeu was the loudest stadium he has ever heard after he netted a late winner against Getafe to match a record set by Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Englishman arrived in the Spanish capital from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund over the summer in what was the club’s only major piece of business, setting Los Blancos back over 100m euros in the process.

However, he has taken to La Liga seamlessly, and appears to have taken his game up several levels under Carlo Ancelotti.

Already a firm fan favourite, the 20-year-old midfielder was once again the central pillar for Real Madrid in their most recent outing, crashing home a stoppage time winner to snatch all three points against Getafe after his side had found themselves 1-0 down early on in the game.

It was his fourth consecutive goal for the club, and in finding the back of the net he became the second Real Madrid player ever to net in his first four La Liga outings, following the iconic Cristiano Ronaldo.

In the aftermath of the game, he told Spanish TV that he couldn’t stop shaking at the reception he got for netting the winner, turning in from close range after David Soria had spilled a long range effort from Lucas Vasquez.

Now set to join up with his Three Lions teammates over the international break, the youngster is at the heart of hopes for success across both club and country, and appears to revel in that responsibility.
