Everton head coach Sean Dyche has, late on Thursday, provided an update on the wellbeing of Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Hitman Calvert-Lewin, of course, has endured something of a nightmare campaign to date.
Owing to a fresh round of injury problems, the English international has managed starts in just nine of Everton’s 22 Premier League fixtures.
In turn, it came as a blow for all associated with the Toffees when, after a long-awaited consistent run of starts following the turn of the year, word was forthcoming that DCL had suffered a setback.
Owing to a hamstring problem, the once-prolific frontman was forced to sit out Everton’s Merseyside Derby showdown with Liverpool earlier this week.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, the subject of Calvert-Lewin’s wellbeing was therefore inevitably put to boss Sean Dyche.
DCL, however, will once more be unavailable for selection.
“The root of the problem is pretty easy from a medical side of things,” Dyche began. “Now it’s just a case of time. We need to focus on the other players. Facts are facts and Dom’s not available so we need to focus on the other players.”
