Manchester City came away with a 3-1 win on Saturday thanks to a brace from Erling Haaland and one goal from Kevin De Bruyne.
Haaland now has 17 league goals to his name, meaning he is just six goals away from matching the total of last season’s Golden Boot winner.
As for De Bruyne, he has scored two and is already up to nine assists in the league this season – 11 shy of the record he currently holds with Thierry Henry.
De Bruyne’s effort on Saturday was also a sensational one:

But while Guardiola praised the strike, he said he thought the 31-year-old could improve.
Pep said: “Kevin can be better. He’s not playing at his best level yet. He scored a fantastic goal, but he’s not playing at his best.
Manuel Akanji also spoke out about De Bruyne’s strike vs Brighton: “We can see game-by-game, all the assists he gives, the impact he has on the games with the balls he plays, and also today the strike was a crazy goal.
“I was right behind him and I saw how the ball went into the goal. It was a brilliant shot and I’m really happy he scored [to make it] 3-1 for us.”
