Newcastle United have set their sights on the signature of a key member of the defensive setup at Premier League rivals Fulham, according to reports.
The player in question? Antonee Robinson.
As per a report from the reliable Nizaar Kinsella of Standard Sport, the powers that be at St. James’ Park are ‘actively pursuing’ a summer deal for United States international Robinson.
This comes amid Eddie Howe’s ongoing pursuit of reinforcements at left-back, ahead of Newcastle’s return to the Champions League.
To this point, a whole host of left-sided stoppers have been tipped to take their talents to Tyneside, from Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney to big-money Chelsea signing Marc Cucurella.

And Robinson now appears to have been added to this list, fresh off a season which saw him feature from the off in all but three of Fulham’s league outings.
The hierarchy at Craven Cottage are understood to have slapped a £35 million valuation on his head, amid further interest from Olympique Marseille, and past links with the likes of Manchester City and AC Milan.
Significantly, though, it is also suggested that Fulham ‘are prepared to sell’, with their defensive standout refusing to put pen to paper on fresh terms ahead of the expiration of his current contract in 12 months’ time.
