No fewer than three Premier League clubs are expressing an interest in the signature of an out-of-favour member of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool squad, according to reports.
The player in question? Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Midfielder Oxlade-Chamberlain, of course, has endured another underwhelming campaign on Merseyside to date.
Owing to a combination of competition for places and long-standing fitness woes, the former Arsenal man has been restricted to just eight league appearances, including only four starts.
In turn, it has come as little surprise to hear of the powers that be at Anfield coming to the collective decision not to offer ‘the Ox’ a contract extension, ahead of the expiration of his current terms in the summer.
As alluded to above, though, whilst Liverpool may no longer hold an interest in the 29-year-old’s services, a number of other clubs across England’s top-flight do.
Not only that, but, should he decide that the time has come to test himself abroad, then the versatile attacker could make his way to Italy, amid further interest on the part of a number of Serie A sides.
