Manchester United headed into the match looking to regain some ground on Arsenal.
The Gunners beat Aston Villa on Saturday and moved eight points clear of United.
As a result, the Red Devils needed a win vs the Foxes. And when all was said and done, Manchester United came away with the win.
Leicester had the first big chance of the game eight minutes in. Harvey Barnes picked up the ball near the halfway line and played a one-two with Iheanacho to get through on goal but David de Gea made a big stop.
The Foxes continued to pile pressure on United’s backline in the minutes that followed, with Casemiro’s absence very clear.
De Gea was then forced into another brilliant save after 20 minutes, this time to deny Iheanacho.

Diogo Dalot then had a chance to double Manchester United’s lead late in the first half but missed from six yards out.
After managing to get in at half-time in front, Erik ten Hag opted to take off Garnacho at the break for Jadon Sancho.
The change seemingly worked well as Rashford added a second goal after 55 minutes. It was checked for offside and given. Sancho then killed the tie off with just under 30 minutes remaining.

Applause all round Old Trafford at that save. Incredible reactions from De Gea. He is producing a ridiculous catalogue this season. #MUFC

Playing on the counter at home as a big club @ManUtd is no way to play football. Ten Hags football is pretty dire. Will get found out when teams just sit like they do against other teams.

We’re so easy to play against #MUFC

Every team realizes if they press Manchester United they’ll get something out of the game because of how 💩 they are collectively on the ball

Good grief. Leicester getting in behind #MUFC with ease. Home side really hanging on. De Gea to the rescue again.

17 – Marcus Rashford has scored 17 goals at Old Trafford across all competitions in 2022-23 – the most by a player in a single season for Manchester United since Wayne Rooney in 2011-12 (19). Dreams. pic.twitter.com/etD25mIkmn
