Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has, on Sunday evening, provided an update on the future of midfield star Ilkay Gundogan.
For those who may have missed it, German international Gundogan took his place front and centre in the headlines on the blue half of Manchester once more earlier today.
This came owing to a Man of the Match display, against Everton.
En route to a 3-0 Sky Blues triumph at Goodison Park, the former Borussia Dortmund standout played a direct hand in all three of his side’s goals, notching a brace, as well as an assist.

Speaking to the media post-match, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of Gundogan’s future was put to Guardiola once more.
The 32-year-old’s contract is of course due to expire in the summer, with speculation having long been rampant that Spanish giants Barcelona have set their sights firmly on his services.
