AC Milan star Rafael Leao has revealed that he finds Serie A ‘very easy’ but has poured cold water on a potential move to the Premier League by claiming that he ‘doesn’t like the weather there’.
After scooping the MVP award in last season’s Serie A on his way to lifting the title, the Portuguese winger has grabbed 8 goals and 7 assists in 23 outings this season, along with a further one goal and three assists in seven Champions League matches.
But his future remains up in the air, with the 23-year-old subject to interest from Chelsea last summer as they looked to test the resolve of the Rossoneri. Ultimately, the Blues added Mykhaylo Mudryk in January, and with Leao also a left-winger, a deal seems unlikely in the near future.

That has not stopped Premier League interest however, with both Manchester Clubs and Arsenal having been linked with the Portuguese star. As it stands, he is out of contract in 2024, and though Milan officials continue to assure the media that negotiations for a new deal are progressing well, there has been no concrete progress since the beginning of the season, leaving his future increasingly uncertain.
Quizzed on Premier League rumours, however, Leao was quick to pledge his loyalty to AC Milan.
“Maybe the Serie A is too easy!”, he joked. “No, but seriously, I don’t like their [London’s] weather. I only went there [London] for shopping. I like Milan. The Duomo, the malls, the clubs, and the food are superior.”
