The Magpies marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to Bramall Lane with sights on a 2nd Premier League win on the spin.

Taking advantage of an absolutely hapless Sheffield United, Eddie Howe’s troops racked up 8 (yes, EIGHT) goals, without reply, sending the Blades to the bottom of the table in the process.
And, unsurprisingly, Newcastle, in the process, made history.

This marks the first time that eight different players have ever found the net for one club in a single Premier League fixture.
In fact, it is the first time that a side have managed as much in the English top-flight since Liverpool’s 9-0 mauling of Crystal Palace back in 1989.
