Manchester United have been dealt a major boost as they have finally agreed a new deal for talented attacker Alejandro Garnacho, according to reports.
The Argentine attacker has been one of several bright sparks at Old Trafford since the arrival of Erik ten Hag, with the 18-year-old grabbing two goals and five assists in 15 outings, including the cross for Marcus Rashford’s winner in their most recent Manchester Derby.
However, he was due to be out of contract in 2024, leading to reports that Real Madrid were keen on bringing him to the Santiago Bernabeu when his deal in the north west ended.
Meanwhile, progress had been slow over a new deal in Manchester, with Garnacho’s agent reportedly turning down a deal worth £20k per week for his client.

But, he seems set to stay put. As per FootballTransfers, the attacker has agreed to pen a new deal at Old Trafford that will keep him with the club until 2029, representing a massive 5-year extension on his current contract.
Additionally, his wages are set to rise too, with the Red Devils offering £30,000 a week to keep hold of the talent, in addition to significant performance-related bonuses.
However, he may be waiting a while for a start, with Marcus Rashford currently laying claim to the left side of Ten Hag’s attack and in the best form of his career, having set a new club record for the most consecutive home games scored in (9) with his goal against Manchester City.
