Premier League outfit Sheffield United are already giving serious consideration to an early-season change in the dugout, according to reports.

United, of course, were back in action earlier today.

Amid a difficult campaign to date on the back of their return to the top-flight of English football, the Blades made the trip to north London, for a meeting with high-flying Tottenham Hotspur.

And, with a full 97 minutes on the clock, the day’s visitors looked well on their way to a first three-point haul of the term.

This came owing to a late strike on the part of Gustavo Hamer.

Drama, though, remained in store, as Spurs, incredibly, found the net twice in the space of three minutes, to ultimately emerge on the right side of a 2-1 scoreline.

The individual in question? Paul Heckingbottom.

As per a report from the Daily Mail, the position of the Blades’ head coach is already in ‘serious jeopardy’, amid a run of no wins from five to open the campaign.

Not only that, but it is claimed that the powers that be at Bramall Lane have already made contact with former boss Chris Wilder, over a potential return to the club.

‘Sheffield United are considering a move to bring Chris Wilder back to Bramall Lane after their winless run extended to five games in the late defeat against Tottenham.’
