Manchester United are among several clubs tracking Celta Vigo wunderkind Gabri Veiga, who has a release clause of 40m euros written into his contract, as they weigh up a potential summer move for the midfielder.
The 20 year old has been a revelation for the Spanish outfit this season. After a couple of seasons on the fringes of the squad, he has made himself a regular in Celta’s midfield, returning 8 goals and 3 assists in 22 La Liga outings as they look set to comfortably avoid relegation this campaign.

And he is being closely monitored by several clubs across Europe, with Arsenal thought to be keen on adding the 20-year-old midfielder to their ranks as they also look to add compatriot Ivan Fresneda this summer.
Manchester United and Erik ten Hag are also following the situation closely, with midfield a key area to upgrade this summer. Though Casemiro has proved a revelation in the Red Devils engine room, they lack depth while Marcel Sabitzer is set to return to Bayern Munich when his loan ends in the summer.
Now, both sides have been warned that Celta will not let their talent leave for less than 40m euros (£36m) this summer, with the club under no pressure to sell the star given his contract runs until 2026.
The extent to which that resolve can be tested by lower bids remains to be seen, but Viega is almost certainly set to smash their record sale, which currently stands at just 21m euros (When they sold Stanislav Lobotka to Napoli in 2019).
