Manchester United have been dealt yet another injury blow as it has emerged that midfielder Scott McTominay will miss their Europa League last 8 clash with Sevilla on Thursday night.
The Scot, who scored the opening goal for his side in their 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday, has started each of his side’s last three Premier League games, may also be a doubt for the trip to Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
As per the Manchester Evening news, ‘McTominay did not train with the rest of the United squad on Wednesday afternoon but club sources say his injury is not too serious’, in the latest blow to Erik ten Hag’s plans.
The Red Devils are already set to be without Luke Shaw, Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford, with the trio set to be out for several weeks with various injuries. Donny Van De Beek has also been ruled out for the season with a knee injury.

They will, however, be handed a boost by the return of Casemiro, with the Brazilian having served his ban in the Premier League, though a yellow card in the first leg against the Spanish side would see him ruled out of the second leg.
Meanwhile, Christian Eriksen made his return to action against Everton, having been sidelined since January, which adds further options for Ten Hag to consider in McTominay’s absence.
