A fresh insight into the wellbeing of Manchester United summer signing Sofyan Amrabat has been provided on Thursday evening.
For those who may have missed it, midfielder Amrabat set pulses racing across the United fanbase this day last week.
This came amid confirmation that the latest addition to the club’s engine room ranks had been forced to pull out of international duty.
As per an official statement on the part of the Moroccan Football Association:
“The national team coach, Mr. Walid Regragui, has summoned the player, Yahya Jeeran, to replace the injured Sofyan Amrabat.”
With Amrabat having not been registered in time to feature in his new side’s Premier League defeat at the hands of Arsenal two weeks ago, the concern, in turn, was that Amrabat would be unavailable once more this weekend, when United play host to Brighton & Hove Albion.
As per a report from the reliable James Ducker of the Daily Telegraph, ‘hope’ is intact that the Fiorentina loanee will be involved to at least some extent at Old Trafford on Saturday.
This comes with Amrabat taking positive steps towards a return to full fitness.
