Predicted XI

Team News

Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe comes into another difficult weekend fixture against Roberto De Zerbi’s vaunted Brighton attack at The Amex without two key figures in the senior team, and questions surrounding a handful of others.

Both Joe Willock and Sven Botman are unfit for service due to injury, with Botman recently joining the former Arsenal midfielder after picking up an ankle injury in the 2-1 loss against Liverpool at St. James’ Park. Swedish full-back Emile Krafth also remains out.

Questions also persist surrounding Joelinton and Javier Manquillo, though Joelinton will slot into midfield if he is declared fit should he pass his late assessment. If not, look for Sean Longstaff to come into the team. Additionally, it can be expected that Howe will roll out the same front three that looks to have clicked, which means both Callum Wilson and Harvey Barnes are likely to feature on the bench once more.
