Manchester United fans have taken to social media in their droves to take aim at two of their starting XI during their first half against Bayern Munich, a game in which they headed into the interval 2-0 down despite some bright play.

The Red Devils have traveled to the Allianz Arena to take on the German Champions in poor form, following a 3-1 defeat to Brighton at the weekend and with just two wins in their first five games of the season.

Despite a bright start and an impressive Champions League outing for Sergio Reguilon, goals from Leroy Sane and Serge Gnabry either side of the half-hour mark left United staring down the barrel of another defeat and a result that will pile further pressure on Erik ten Hag.

And United fans knew exactly who to blame, with two of Ten Hag’s signings receiving the brunt of the criticism.

The first of those on the chopping block was Andre Onana, who let Leroy Sane’s effort slip below him to allow Bayern Munich to take the lead at the Allianz.

Plenty were quick to point to the change of goalkeeper over the summer, and the suggestion that David de Gea may well have saved the effort despite him being worse with the ball at his feet.

The Brazilian was seen jogging back before he failed to mark Serge Gnabry, who fired home.

As you can see below, they were quick to point the fingers.
