Manchester United have been warned that it will take 100m euros to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani this summer, with the Red Devils on the lookout for a striker.

Erik ten Hag’s side recruited Wout Weghorst in January to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, whose contract was terminated in November after an outlandish interview given without the club’s permission. However, with the Dutchman only on loan, and Anthony Martial’s future increasingly in doubt, they are expected to sign a new no.9 after this season in a bid to return to the top of the Premier League.

To that end, they have been linked with a whole host of stars, with Victor Osimhen reportedly catching the eye, while Harry Kane could also be available on the cheap, with the Englishman set to become a free agent in 2024 as it stands.

Another player that they have been reportedly keeping a close eye on is France and Eintracht Frankfurt attacker Randal Kolo Muani, who is enjoying a stellar season for the German side after arriving in the summer as a free agent.

So far, the 24-year-old has grabbed 9 goals and 12 assists in 18 Bundesliga outings, and made the France squad as a late call up for the World Cup, though he will be best remembered for forcing an outstanding save from Emiliano Martinez in the final with what was almost the last kick of the game, on his way to a runners up medal.

That has not stopped the interest in the youngster, however. Both the Red Devils and Liverpool are thought to be interested, though Frankfurt have reportedly placed a massive 100m euros price tag on his head, with the Frenchman under contract until 2027 and the club under no pressure to sell.

“What we can say for sure: Randal Kolo Muani will be one of the best strikers in the world. He’s giving me Thierry Henry vibes”, journalist Patrick Berger claimed after the Frenchman netted twice and grabbed an assist in a massive 4-1 win over fellow Bundesliga outfit SV Darmstadt.

Of course, the last player signed by United that had been compared to Thierry Henry was Anthony Martial, so there is reason for pause, especially at the hefty price tag. However, with other strikers on the market likely to cost as much if not more than the Frankfurt man, he could be worth the risk.
