Premier League giants Liverpool have, on Saturday, been dealt a blow on the personnel front.
This, of course, comes amid the Reds’ ongoing preparations efforts for the new campaign.
With the 2023/24 Premier League term now just a matter of weeks away from kicking into gear, Jurgen Klopp’s squad recently flew out to Germany, for a pre-season training camp.
Summer arrivals Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister were both part of the travelling group, tasked with getting up to speed with their new teammates in a bid to assure their readiness for an opening day showdown with Chelsea on August 13th.

As alluded to above, though, on Saturday, the efforts of the former towards precisely that were brought to something of a premature halt.
This comes amid confirmation that Szoboszlai has picked up a fitness problem.
The tests are understood to have revealed only a minor issue, perhaps in the form of ankle swelling.
Nevertheless, no risks will be taken with the 22-year-old, who could well sit out Liverpool’s friendly meeting with Greuther Furth on Monday.
