Supporters of Spanish giants Real Madrid have flooded to social media late on Sunday evening, to send a clear as day message to the club’s board.
Los Blancos, of course, returned to action a short time ago.
Flying high amid a stretch of five straight wins across all competitions, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops welcomed long-time rivals Barcelona to the Bernabeu, hopeful of building further on their comfortable advantage at the La Liga summit.
When all was said and done in the Spanish capital, however, to say that Real were brought crashing back down to earth would be something of an understatement.
As one-sided an affair as one could possibly have predicted ahead of kick-off ultimately played out into a 4-0 Barcelona rout.

Elsewhere, Ousmane Dembele looked back to his brilliant best en route to another pair of assists, whilst Ronald Araujo and Ferran Torres were too amongst the goals.

In truth, though, whilst Barcelona’s stars, on an individual level, simply showed up their Real Madrid counterparts across the 90 minutes this evening, the game had already been all but won before proceedings even got underway at the Bernabeu.
This quickly became evident upon the exchanges being kicked into gear by the game’s opening whistle, as the tactical plan put in place by Blaugrana boss Xavi left counterpart Carlo Ancelotti scratching his head, with no answers to be found.
Repeatedly securing possession high up the pitch courtesy of a devastating press at one end, all the while playing their way through the lacklustre lines deployed by their hosts at the other, Barca simply out-thought, outfought and outplayed Real Madrid across the entirety of the clash.
In turn, it should come as little surprise to see the finger of blame pointed squarely in one direction on the white half of the Spanish capital this evening.
The respective absences of Karim Benzema and Ferland Mendy left as little more than an afterthought, Real’s supporters have called for the club’s board to act swiftly, in sending manager Carlo Ancelotti on his way:

ancelotti really played modric as a false 9 for large parts of the 1st half.
didn’t switch alaba & nacho.
hasn’t found a solution for the right wing too. a prob that’s been there the entire season.he needs to go.

Still waiting for Carlo Ancelotti to be sacked. Worst coach in Real Madrid history. Benitez was better, had a better tactics.
