Real Madrid have, on Saturday, seen the club’s hopes of getting the better of arch rivals Barcelona afforded an altogether timely boost.

The latest edition of Spanish football’s most high-profile fixture, of course, is set to play out in 24 hours’ time.

The matchup in question will see reigning La Liga champions Real Madrid make the trip to the Camp Nou, desperate for Clasico glory.

Sitting a full nine points adrift of their table-topping rivals, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops are no doubt fully aware that nothing but a victory will suffice, amid efforts to hunt down the rampant Blaugrana.

And, as alluded to above, a day out from the clash, Real have seen their hopes of sealing precisely that afforded a boost.

This comes in the form of confirmation that captain and talisman Karim Benzema has been passed fit to feature.

As confirmed across Real’s official website and social media platforms on Saturday evening, though, Benzema has been included in Carlo Ancelotti’s travelling squad bound for Catalunya, therefore expected to feature from the off at the Camp Nou.
