Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has, on Sunday evening, provided an update on the wellbeing of star defender Trent Alexander-Arnold.
This comes, for those who missed it, after Alexander-Arnold was forced into a premature departure from Liverpool’s latest outing.
Klopp and co, of course, marked their return to action earlier today, welcoming Aston Villa to Anfield with sights on a 3rd win from four to start out the Premier League season.
And this, when all was said and done, is precisely what the Reds went on to manage.
A comfortable day’s work for the Merseyside hosts saw goals on the part of all of Dominik Szoboszlai, Matty Cash (OG), and Mohamed Salah give rise to an eventual 3-0 triumph.

The aforementioned Alexander-Arnold, meanwhile, played a central role, laying on Szoboszlai’s opener amid a fine individual display.
This came upon the England international pulling up with what appeared to be a muscular problem, before limping straight down the tunnel at Anfield.
Speaking to the media post-match on Sunday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of Alexander-Arnold’s wellbeing was put to Jurgen Klopp.
And Liverpool’s boss went on to reveal that TAA has picked up a hamstring injury, the extent of which is yet to be established:
“I’m interested as well. I don’t know exactly. I asked him and he said it’s (his) hamstring. Not too serious is his opinion, but we obviously have to wait for the scans. Then we will know more.”
It now remains to be seen whether the issue proves serious enough to rule Alexander-Arnold out of England’s upcoming meetings with Ukraine and Scotland.
