A series of updates surrounding the transfer efforts of Spanish giants Real Madrid have come to the fore late on Friday evening.
First up comes a confirmed addition to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
The player in question? Fran Garcia.
After the Blancos academy graduate enjoyed another starring campaign with Rayo Vallecano, the powers that be at Real today opted to activate their buyback option on Garcia, set to provide competition for the likes of Ferland Mendy and Eduardo Camavinga at left-back next season.

Next up comes an imminent contract renewal in Spain’s capital.
As confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, versatile defender Nacho will imminently put to bed any remaining speculation surrounding a potential summer exit from the Bernabeu, in putting pen to paper on a new one-year deal.
Nacho will sign new Real Madrid deal next week. Documents are ready, it’s done and it will be sealed within 3/4 days. 🚨⚪️🔒 #RealMadrid

Carlo Ancelotti’s squad has of course been left with a gaping hole to fill up top, on the back of the sudden departure of captain and talisman Karim Benzema earlier this week.
Tottenham Hotspur frontman Harry Kane, in turn, is widely understood to have been identified as the first-choice target to replace Benzema as Los Merengues’ spearhead.
Amid widespread reports that Spurs are ready to stand firm in their hefty valuation of the Englishman, however, Florentino Perez and co. have been forced to seek out alternative options.
And one such striker, according to the latest information coming out of the Spanish press, comes in the form of World Cup winner and Inter Milan standout Lautaro Martinez:
