An insight into the contract terms set to be penned by incoming Chelsea signing Nico Jackson has been provided on Sunday.
The name of frontman Jackson, of course, has taken its place centre stage in the headlines in west London across the week to date.
This comes after widespread reports pointed towards the powers that be at Chelsea stepping up their pursuit of the Senegalese.
Developments towards the transfer’s completion, in turn, were quickly forthcoming, after Todd Boehly and co. agreed to fork over a sum in the region of €37 million to Villarreal.
And now, ahead of Jackson’s imminent arrival at Stamford Bridge, an insight into the terms set to be afforded to the 22-year-old has been forthcoming.
The info comes by way of transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who has confirmed that Jackson, remarkably, will be tied down to terms at Chelsea all the way through the summer of 2031 – an eight-year deal.
It is also revealed that Jackson completed the 2nd part of his Blues medical earlier today, meaning his unveiling as the latest addition to Mauricio Pochettino’s squad could arrive at any moment.
