Liverpool are set to clash with Real Madrid on Tuesday evening in the first of two Champions League last-16 ties.

Liverpool head into the game having picked up back-to-back wins whilst also keeping clean sheets, for the first time in months.

However, Real Madrid are Champions League specialists and Los Blancos have dominated the Reds in recent years, including beating them in two Champions League finals with Jurgen Klopp at the helm.

Ahead of the game, it has been revealed that Stefan Bajcetic has broken a Liverpool record.

As per Opta, Stefan Bajcetic is the youngest player (18 years, 122 days) to start a Champions League match for Liverpool.

The young Spaniard joined Liverpool’s youth ranks in 2021 from Celta Vigo.

Bajcetic has made seven Premier League appearances this term and scored in a 3-1 win over Aston Villa. And with the likes of Thiago currently sidelined, the teenager is enjoying an extended run in the side.
