The pair have been key figures for Liverpool in recent years.
Whilst Virgil van Dijk has lost some of his aura, the Dutchman remains a key figure at the back for the Reds and his recent absence brought about by injury has been very noticeable.
Elliott, meanwhile, is a bright young talent who has shown patches of quality during his time on Merseyside.
So, losing the pair this summer would be a blow for Liverpool. However, it does not appear there is any substance in the reports which claim that Van Dijk and Elliott have changed agents – something players normally do when they are looking for a move.
Instead, Fabrizio Romano has moved to clear up the situation on Monday.
Discussing the situation, Romano said: “There was a story recently that got a bit of attention, as the agent of Virgil van Dijk and Harvey Elliott joined the Roof agency, but that’s all that happened, it was not a change in representation for the players, as such.
