Manchester United are poised to lose out on two more transfer targets this summer as deals for Axel Disasi and Benjamin Pavard both progressing.
Newcastle United are thought to be in the lead for AS Monaco defender Disasi, with talks between the two sides progressing though no offer has been made. A move early in the window would come as a blow to the Red Devils, who are currently working on deals for Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund.
They will need to sell before they can make any move for another defender, with Harry Maguire one of those that could leave this summer along with midfielder Fred and forward Anthony Elanga.
Understand, Newcastle pushing a lot for Axel #Disasi!

Should Newcastle continue to push on with a move, it could see United miss out on their second centre-back of the summer after Kim Min-Jae completed a move to Bayern Munich earlier in the month.
And it could be set to get worse.
As per the Guardian, Manchester City have identified Manchester United target Benjamin Pavard as a defensive addition, with Kyle Walker in talks with Bayern Munich over a potential move to Bavaria.

Though Manchester City are yet to make a bid for the Frenchman, it is believed that he is ‘top of their list’ as they look to find another inverted fullback to provide competition and backup to John Stones.
In better news for the Red Devils, a move for Onana is edging closer to completion, with the goalkeeper expected to make the move to Old Trafford for a fee of around £50m.
