Nottingham Forest are yet to make a splash in the transfer market this summer, but that is set to change in the coming weeks as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.

After bringing in a record number of new faces last summer, Steve Cooper’s side spent much of last season in danger of dropping back into the Championship at the first time of asking.

However, they clinched their Premier League survival with a 1-0 win over Arsenal at the City Ground, prolonging their stay in the top flight into this season and possibly beyond.

They are now set to strengthen their ranks for the upcoming campaign, with Andre Onana’s move to Manchester United expected to set off a chain reaction that will allow Forest to finally complete a £20m move for Dean Henderson, who spent last season on loan at the City Ground but missed the second half of the campaign through injury.

The Englishman is set to reclaim his no.1 spot in Cooper’s side following the end of Keylor Navas’s loan. Their business will not stop there, with Forest having tabled a tentative offer for Ibrahim Sangare, who has previously been on the radar of Arsenal and Liverpool.

Their spending will not stop there, with a left-back, central defender and another forward thought to be on their radar.

His new venture is described as the ‘world’s biggest CO2 carriers’, will mean little to Forest unless it is followed up with new signings, however, as Forest look to survive in the Premier League for the second consecutive campaign.
