The player in question is Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The right-back has had a tough stint at Old Trafford since his big move from Crystal Palace.
Both he and Harry Maguire have often been scapegoats for Manchester United’s poor defending over the last several seasons.
And when Erik ten Hag took the reins, Wan-Bissaka looked set to lose his spot to Diogo Dalot.
However, the right-back has nailed down a starting berth for Man United over the last six months – even if his displays have not always been the best.
And now, he is set to be offered a new deal by the Red Devils:
“It’s quite an impressive turnaround for the former Crystal Palace defender, as last November he was in the list of players set to leave, but he did an excellent job when called upon, and it looks like he’s now considered a key part of Erik ten Hag’s project.”
