On-loan Arsenal defender Auston Trusty has piqued widespread attentions across the English football landscape late on Friday evening.
This comes owing to a moment of individual brilliance produced by the former United States youth international.
Trusty, of course, linked up with Arsenal this past January, before being farmed out to the Championship during the summer, with a view to honing his craft on the books of Birmingham City.
And the 24-year-old’s time in England’s 2nd tier, all told, has since proven a major success.
Trusty has featured from the off and seen out the full 90 minutes in all of Birmingham’s 17 league outings to date.

His latest appearance, meanwhile, came this evening.
And, as alluded to above, it was that man Trusty’s opener which firmly stole the headlines.
This came as the stopper, lining out as part of a back-three, improvised to direct a wayward effort from another player with Arsenal ties – Krystian Bielik – beyond the clutches of Seny Dieng in spectacular fashion.
