Cristiano Ronaldo proved himself the hero on Thursday, as Al-Nassr narrowly avoided a group stage exit from the Arab Club Champions Cup.
For those who may have missed it, Al-Nassr were back in action a short time ago.
Fresh off a confidence-boosting 4-1 drubbing of Monastir, Luis Castro’s troops made the trip to the King Fahd International Stadium, for a meeting with Egyptian giants Zamalek.
Al-Nassr headed into proceedings aware that a minimum of a point would likely be required, to avoid a group stage exit from the Arab Champions Cup.
And, when all was said and done, clinch a share of the spoils, just, is what the Riyadh-based giants went on to do.
It was Zamalek who opened the scoring in the clash, upon Ahmed Sayed slotting home from the penalty spot early in the 2nd-half.
After escaping his marker at the far post with a full 87 minutes on the clock, the aforementioned Cristiano Ronaldo found the net for the 2nd game on the spin, directing a trademark header beyond the despairing Mohamed Sobhy:
