Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool’s injury woes continue to pile up as it has been revealed that midfielder Thiago is set for a month on the sidelines with a hip injury.
The Reds have suffered a horror start to the season, currently sitting 10th in the Premier League and having won just one of their previous five in the top flight. They have not been helped by injuries, with all of Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Roberto Firmino missing large chunks of the season, while both Ibrahima Konate and Virgil Van Dijk are also missing at present.

And is set to get worse before it gets better, with the Telegraph reporting that ‘Liverpool fear that Thiago Alcantara could be out for another four weeks after picking up a hip injury this week’, leaving them further down to the barebones ahead of the Merseyside derby on Monday, which is followed by a Champions League clash with Real Madrid next week.
Arthur Melo, who arrived in the summer on loan, is yet to make an appearance for the club, while Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain continue to provide cameos without impressing. Meanwhile, James Milner, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho have all come under scrutiny for their performances and Steven Bajcetic has risen through the ranks but remains young and inexperienced.
To lose Thiago, who has made 14 starts in the top flight this season, is another massive blow to the Reds, and further reinforces their need to strengthen in the middle of the pitch, something that they failed to do in January.
Jude Bellingham remains their top target in that regard, while Moises Caicedo and Matheus Nunes are both Premier League options also under consideration by Klopp and co.
