Nottingham Forest star Jonjo Shelvey has, on Thursday, secured a loan move away from the club.
The subject of midfielder Shelvey’s future, for those not aware, has long taken its place centre stage in the headlines at the City Ground.
This comes with the former Newcastle United standout, since linking up with Forest back in January, having long fallen firmly out of favour under the watch of boss Steve Cooper.
Yet to manage a single Premier League appearance to this point in the campaign, links with a whole host of clubs in England and abroad, in turn, were inevitably forthcoming in the press.
And, as alluded to above, on Thursday, one such suitor have pushed a deal for Shelvey over the line.
As per an official statement across Forest’s website and social media platforms:
‘We wish Jonjo the best for the remainder of the campaign.’
It is currently unclear whether Caykur Rizespor, promoted to the top tier of Turkish football last season, have secured an option to buy in their deal for the 31-year-old.
Good luck for the rest of the season, Jonjo 🤝
